Issue

To remain competitive and to meet the everchanging expectations of modern learners, ICD Business School needed to upgrade its digital teaching infrastructure. The goal was to replace obsolete projectors with modern equipment that could allow for interactivity, collaboration, and immersive learning while maintaining consistency in all campuses.

Solution

Consulting with BenQ education experts, ICD Business School integrated 200 interactive displays. After some product testing, the RM8601K, RP8603, and RP8604 models were selected for their effortless onboarding, intuitive usability, seamless connectivity, strict multi-layered security, streamlined device management options, and advanced functionality.

Result

With the new BenQ displays in place, ICD Business School reshaped its classrooms to allow for a modern learning experience. Teachers benefited from technologies that improved interactive teaching and learning, while students were more engaged through a more efficient delivery of lessons. The project marked a significant leap forward in the school’s mission to offer impactful pedagogy.

About ICD Business School

ICD Business School is a member of the Groupe IGENSIA Education (formerly Groupe IGS Group) and offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in business, development, marketing, and finance in a truly international learning environment. 

The school has three campuses in France: one in Paris, the capital city; one in Toulouse, located in the Southwest of France and known as the "Ville Rose"; and one in Lyon, a dynamic economic hub in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Today, all three campuses feature spacious and modern lecture halls, fully equipped classrooms and amphitheatres, open-access computers with high-speed internet access, cafeterias, learning labs, and a lot of other educational amenities. The purpose of such modernisation has been to help execute the pedagogical approaches of the school and facilitate the learning experience. 

Finding Leading-Edge Technology to Overcome Challenges

ICD’s challenge of renewing its digital infrastructure was manifold. They wanted to integrate technologically advanced, intuitive, and consistent digital tools. But, at the same time, they preferred to keep the human touch and individualised supervision, which are crucial in guaranteeing a happy learning experience.

Moreover, they needed to execute the modernisation in a scalable way on their campuses. Therefore, they had to make sure that the tools would be easy to adapt to various classroom configurations, support immersive teaching formats, and enhance the classroom experience.

After consultation and evaluation, BenQ’s interactive displays were selected as the most fitting option to bring simplicity, reliability, and satisfaction to everyone on campus.

BenQ Introduces New Ways of Learning

The selected RM and RP Series interactive displays delivered on all fronts. They offered 4K resolution and powerful features such as flexibility to help instructors Teach Their Way, security to safeguard their sensitive data, and safety to provide everyone in the classrooms with advanced health protection technologies.

The displays showed lessons in crystal clarity and offered intuitive touch interactions for better collaborations and teamwork. The wireless screen sharing feature and the EZWrite 6 interactive whiteboarding software gave instructors flexibility in how they presented their teaching materials, while eliminating reliance on other external devices or complex setups.

The Google EDLA certification of the boards, on the other hand, brought some more layers of security, access to Google apps, accounts, and services, which gave instructors a lot more opportunities to teach easier, and better.

One of the most valued features was the ability to open commonly used teaching materials, such as PowerPoint and Excel files of the lesson plans, directly on every display. This was possible with just a single tap of the NFC card, which could be customised for each instructor, speeding up transitions during lessons and improving flow.

Thanks to a streamlined installation and deployment process supported by BenQ France, the school experienced a smooth transition with no disruptions to teaching. From product demonstrations and test installations to hands-on training, technical support, and product loans, BenQ ensured a strong partnership throughout.

BenQ also helped the school with maintaining a consistent user experience across their campuses, supporting ICD’s goal of standardising their digital teaching tools at scale.

With the installation of BenQ interactive displays, ICD’s classrooms and teaching methodologies have become significantly modernised.
