Pipers Corner School Transforms Classrooms into Digital Collaboration Spaces with BenQ RM7503 Displays

Overview
The Issue
As part of Pipers Corner’s digital transformation to create more collaborative learning environments, the independent school needed an interactive display solution which would allow teachers to easily interact with students both in-person and online in this new era of hybrid learning.
The Solution
The school was previously using old projectors and whiteboards which over time, were becoming dim, less effective, and therefore no longer meeting the needs of their learners. Working with Protech Solutions Ltd, an accredited BenQ reseller, RM7503 and RM8603 interactive displays were chosen and installed across the school.
The Result
Due to their 4K display, numerous built-in interactive features, such as EZWrite digital whiteboarding software, and integration with cloud-based learning environments, such as Google Classroom, BenQ RM7503 interactive displays provided the perfect hybrid solution.

Pipers Corner School Revamps Classroom Experience
Pipers Corner had long been looking for an interactive whiteboard solution to promote interactivity and support hybrid learning in the classroom. Having previously seen the effectiveness of the RM7503’s at his previous school, Andrew Bryson, the school’s IT Manager, has been focused on upgrading the independent school’s classroom technology to ensure that it can provide the highest quality of teaching for all of their learners.
The school needed to update its current projectors, which had become end-of-life, so that they could integrate cloud-based learning environments such as Google Classroom, which would allow teachers to move between classrooms and ensure they could access resources from anywhere. Andrew was also conscious that he needed to consider the health and well-being of his staff and students, ensuring that the displays chosen embraced innovation to create safer learning environments.

BenQ Boards Unveil Innovative Upgrades
The RM7503 series built-in microphone provides crystal-clear audio, ensuring that students learning remotely don’t miss out on any important information. This will also save time both for IT staff and teachers as they aren’t required to set up fiddly external microphones before the start of each lesson, allowing more time for productive learning.
In addition, teachers are able to record the audio of every lesson and save it directly to the board, meaning that absent students can easily catch up.
Teachers can also utilise the RM7503’s inbuilt mics to control presentations and annotate documents with voice control, allowing for more flexible and dynamic classroom presentations, wherever they are in the room.
The 4K display, complete with tempered glass and anti-glare coating, guarantees visibility whatever the light conditions and ensures that students learning remotely can see the screen clearly. Teachers have noted the improvement in image quality, with more utilising HD films and videos to bring curriculum content to life in the classroom.
Another feature teachers have been loving is the display’s integration with InstaShare software – BenQ’s exclusive wireless app solution that allows for content to be cast directly to the board from any laptop, tablet or mobile device. This has been particularly helpful for science and engineering teachers when demonstrating intricate procedures. Using InstaShare, teachers can use the app on their phones to provide an aerial view of the procedure. This view is then wirelessly streamed directly to the display, giving every single student the best view of the demonstration without the need to crowd around the teacher’s desk and ensuring that nobody misses out.
Outcome
The integration of 12 x RM7503 and 4 x RM8603 displays across Pipers Corner School is greatly improving the engagement and attainment of learners. Both students and teachers enjoy how user-friendly the displays are and the ease of access to their online teaching resources such as Google Classroom.
BenQ’s integrated cloud services solutions allow teachers to seamlessly move between campuses by being able to access their teaching resources saved in the cloud (Google Classroom) with one login by scanning the QR code, via the built-in Account Management System (AMS).
Every BenQ display has a Device Management System (DMS) built in and has been a huge benefit to the school’s IT teams as they can manage all RM interactive displays and ST digital signage displays across five campuses remotely through the cloud.
The RM7503 also comes inbuilt with EZWrite whiteboarding software which promotes interactivity between in-person and remote students by allowing both to annotate documents and answer questions in real-time. This makes the collaboration between in-person and remote learners seamless.
Another powerful feature has been BenQ’s ClassroomCare® technology. To protect staff and students, each RM03 interactive display is empowered with a germ-resistant screen, which is made with a nano-ionic silver coating to prevent the spread of pathogens and touch-based transmission in the classroom. Meanwhile, the RM7503’s smart eye-care technology safeguards students’ eye health by ensuring each display is low-blue light, flicker-free and glare resistant.
