Eyesafe Display 3.0 verification represents the most rigorous display benchmark assessment of blue light management and colour performance.

Developed in collaboration with leading ophthalmologists, engineers, and scientists, Eyesafe 3.0 pioneers quantitative metrics including Radiance Protection Factor (RPF^®) and Circadian Protection Factor (CPF) to measure not just blue light exposure, but also its impact on eyes and sleep.

Compared to Eyesafe 2.0, the new standard requires circadian protection, stricter blue light controls, and enhanced colour and luminance accuracy, ensuring displays like the BenQ RP05 and RM05 series provide viewing comfort without performance compromise. Criteria and benchmarks are established by Eyesafe, the leader in blue light management technology, and verified by UL Solutions, a globally trusted third-party testing and inspection organisation.

Eyesafe Display 3.0 requirements include measurements of Radiance Protection Factor (RPF), focusing on limiting high-energy visible (HEV) blue light wavelengths between 435–440 nm. The higher the RPF score (across a range of 35-100), the better the blue light protection. The BenQ RP display has achieved an RPF score of 60, with a minimum of 35 required for verification.

The new Eyesafe Display 3.0 program introduces Circadian Protection Factor (CPF), which focuses on limiting blue light in the 480-500 nm range that can disrupt sleep and circadian rhythms. Higher scores indicate less circadian disruption, with 35 or higher needed to earn a claim verification. The BenQ RP series registered a score of 50.

Eyesafe Display 3.0 surpasses previous standards by combining stringent light-emission criteria with colour and luminance consistency requirements. The result is colour accuracy, visual comfort, and long-term viewing protection across all applications.
