BenQ's Displays Help Le Moustier School to Bring its Students into the Digital Age
  • BenQ

Overview

Issue

The primary and elementary school Le Moustier in Froissy, France, hosting c.230 children between 3 and 10 years old, did not have any computers in the classrooms. To solve that problem, and bring the students into the digital era, the leadership team and administrative staff started a tender to find the most suitable solution for them.

Solution

After the proposal, the most suitable products were BenQ’s interactive displays RP6502 and RP7502. With a pre-installed classroom care suite to protect the health of the users, being easy-to-use, the panels were installed in the school, and utilised for the lessons and the administration.

Result

Now the school is taking all its students into the digital age with the interactive displays, which offer the right solution for the school’s needs. Also, the learning experience for all the pupils has improved, thanks to the versatility of the screens.

The director and the administrative staff at the pre-school and primary school Le Moustier in Froissy, France, wanted to keep their students updated to the new technological development. Until that moment, there was no computer equipment in the classrooms, or in the school.

Therefore, the staff deemed it urgent to equip the classrooms and the teachers, to be able to bring all their children into the digital age and to meet the requirements of the national education programmes. Within the school, there are 230 children, divided into the pre-school (3 to 5 years old) and primary (6 to 10) classes.

To solve this important issue, the staff researched the best possible solution to prepare students for the future by integrating effective educational technology. This would also help the children to develop holistically, recognising the positive role that technology plays in their improvement. The school’s choice fell on BenQ Interactive Displays.

Thanks to BenQ's features, the ten RP6502 and the one RP7502 panels turned out to be the perfect solution. Ten displays were set in the classrooms, while one in the meeting room of the school administration. Not only are they equipped with CO2 sensors to monitor and improve air quality, they also have a germ-resistant screen, to prevent disease transmissions.

Students' health is also protected by the smart Eye-Care solutions, which are automatically activated. This include flicker-free, low blue light and anti-glare technology as standard. Moreover, with InstaShare software, content can be cast on a range of other devices, thus enhancing collaboration among students, teachers, and school staff.

With the dual pens, anyone can annotate, write, and draw on the displays, thanks also to the Intelligent Handwriting Recognition.

The entire process was smooth due to to Benq's key account manager providing expert advice and professional suggestions to the school's administration team.

Improved Teaching Quality for the School

The solutions provided by BenQ fitted the school perfectly. The decision fell to BenQ products because of the CO2 sensors and the antibacterial screen, along with the fact that these screens are interactive displays.

The BenQ solutions have had a fantastic impact on teaching quality: the smart displays are used for art work projects and activities, as well as to listen to musical extracts, or to watch educational videos. They also allow students to improve the learning experience, thanks to numerous interactive educational websites. During the pandemic crisis, a series of audio clips were also forwarded to students, to experiment with new ways of learning.

“This technology is perfectly adapted to the needs of students and offer solutions for today's education.”
