Vienna, Austria Nov 1, 2021 – BenQ has launched its Inspired by Nature design competition and through a collaboration with One Tree Planted will be planting one tree for every qualifying competition entry.
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization that carries out global projects with local communities that create an impact for nature, people and wildlife. BenQ will be supporting one of the ongoing projects in Europe and estimates hundreds of trees will be planted, based on the popularity of previous competitions, which take place annually and are popular with the design community across Europe.
Steve Chu, President of BenQ Europe:
“The choice to support One Tree Planted is a natural fit for this campaign, which is all about taking inspiration from nature. Our brand promise - Because it matters - feels particularly relevant right now, as the pandemic has helped us all to realise the value of nature.
“Through this collaboration, we are affirming our commitment to sustainability and supporting a hugely worthwhile project to plant trees across Europe in support of reforestation.”
In collaboration with its partners digital imaging and graphics specialists LUMESCA GROUP, the BenQ Inspired By Nature DesignVue competition challenges designers to create a screensaver that’s inspired by nature for the chance to win a BenQ DesignVue monitor and €1,000.
The competition is being judged by a team of specialists renowned in their fields, including Visual Artist Flóra Borsi, Graphic Designer and Adobe Expert Instructor Martin Perhiniak and Digital Artist Nemanja Sekulic. For those interested in taking part, BenQ’s advice to entrants is to let nature be your muse as you explore and experience the wonders of the great outdoors.
The deadline for uploading entries is 30th November 2021 and the winners will be announced on or shortly after the 15th December 2021.
