The AIK football team trainings were moved to another venue during the recent health crisis. While there, the coaches wanted a smarter approach to let the players know about the new practices and other tactical drills. Also, the team needed a way to screen people’s temperature, to contain any health-related issue.
After consideration, the right choice was the BenQ RP7501 interactive display, so that the trainers could easily and smartly present briefings and debriefings to the team. Along with that, the team chose the WDC20, with which the coach staff could present easily. To measure people’s temperature, the adopted tool was the contactless temperature screening, for the well-being of players, staff, and visitors alike.
Due to the interactive display’s versatility, the team was able to be informed, review videos and tactics, while the coaches could conduct analysis on the players to improve their performances for the upcoming season. With the help of the thermal imaging camera and the ST5502 smart signage, the staff could check any eventual outbreak.

Project
AIK Fotball pre-season training was relocated to the Friends Arena. There, the coaching staff needed new tools to conduct video analysis and present improvements both to players and strategic staff, to maximise all pre-season preparations.
Due to the relocation of the team’s pre-season practice to the Friends Arena in Stockholm, the AIK Football found itself in need of a new, more powerful and multifaceted way to hold video analysis and present new strategies to players and the coaching staff, to improve trainings.
Thanks to the cloud whiteboard, the germ-resistant coating, and air quality sensor for rooms, the interactive display RP7501 enabled collaboration beyond the standard locations, since the trainings were now held in the Friends Arena and directly on the field. It also allowed the staff to write notes over videos, and other on-screen contents for video analyst. Moreover, the BenQ WDC20 let the coaching personnel give presentation, using video conferencing for discussing matters with other members of the team.
What the AIK gained by using the interactive display and the wireless presentation device is the possibility to communicate with both the staff room and 30 team members in different meetings. Set on a rolling stand, the display can be brought around and shown for post-game debriefings; also, it is used on demand during trainings with the team on the field of the Friends Arena.
With the interactive display, the team found a solution that helps and assists for internal discussions, but which can also provide support during presentations to the players; in this way, trainers can explain the match, analysis, and all that can be helpful to the club’s footballers. During the pre-season, the AIK team got in touch with BenQ to look for a suitable solution that could help them improving their presentation and engagement with the team members. Both the interactive display - a touchscreen solution -, and InstaShow® - a wireless functions for presentations that allows to present from any device directly to the screen, fast and easy –, were the perfect match. While the team is at the training facility in Karlberg, the use of screen accounts to 90% of the time: there is therefore a constant need to utilise an interactive display for schedule, watch competitions and training videos, take notes, or simply underlining points. Another touch screen has been also installed in the Friends Arena in Stockholm, where AIK plays its home matches and trained during the pre-season. Using this touch screen technology lets the team present, collaborate and share easily. In this way, the focus in on the task ahead, and no time is wasted.

To help the team cope with the recent health issue, a thermal imaging with a ST5502 - a signage solution with a built-in computer - was also adopted. It can quickly measure the temperature of a crowd, and if the temperature is too high, an alarm goes off. If the solution it linked to administration, an image is sent to the supervising personnel, whose task is to contact the individual(s) for immediate tracing. Even if the AIK team has doctors on site, this solution provides an additional layer of testing.
With BenQ’s temperature screening solution, it is possible to check the temperature of large crowd, and prioritise the well-being of the team and the staff. Due to its high efficiency, the DVY24 thermal imaging camera can avoid people queuing in order to be controlled, while its fast scan keeps risks at a minimum. In case of an irregularity, automated emails are sent to the supervising personnel, so that cases are not missed. Integrated into the system, the X-Sign Broadcast can send alerts and message in case of emergency.
The AIK coaching staff was very impressed with the solution and the flexibility that the RP display provided. This first experience has led to various displays and RM solutions being ordered and fitted into the Youth Academy, Women Teams and Men Team, to replicate the same good results.
