Please follow the steps below to check and change the projector's name:

1. Connect to the internet

2. Log in to your AMS account

3. Go to "Settings"

4. Select "About"

5. Click "Projector Information"

6. Select "Device Name" to change projector name 

This function is only working with Windows PC/Laptop which is designed with and has PgUP and PgDn keys. HDMI (designed with MHL function) and USB Mini-B connection are required from the projector to your Windows PC/Laptop.

Split screen functionality works with InstaShow Button and AirPlay.

The maximum distance supported by the wired remote control is 10 meters.

You can connect the USB mouse to the projector's USB-1 or USB-2 port and use it only when selecting BenQ Launcher as the source amongst the source list.

You can only use wireless projection if you select BenQ Launcher as the source.

Yes, you can install a third-party app from a USB Flash drive, but it' s not recommended as we cannot guarantee its compatibility with the projector.

Additionally, some apps require Google service (e.g. Skype), and therefore cannot run on the projector.

Any 3D active shutter glasses that support 96 to 144Hz frequency and synchronous DLP-Link are compatible with BenQ projectors with 3D features. 

However, there may be differences in signal reception capabilities for different brands (affecting the projected image and 3D glasses synchronization distance). 

Please also note that if the projector does not support 3D features, the 3D glasses will not work.

Regarding the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) functionality on BenQ projectors. We understand your expectation for full bi-directional CEC support. However, after careful consideration of usage scenarios, we have designed our projector to limit CEC control to one-way communication.

This approach helps avoid unintended behaviors such as powering on all connected source devices simultaneously when the projector sends a CEC power-on command. In certain setups, this could cause user inconvenience or confusion. Additionally, it is important to note that not all source devices respond consistently to CEC commands—some may ignore power-on signals altogether.

If the projector model you have is BenQ GV1, GS2, or TK810, please follow the steps to fix the issue.

STEP 1

Connect the projector to the internet and follow the user manual to update the projector firmware to the latest firmware version

STEP 2

Click “App Store” on the home screen 

STEP 3

Select and install “CCast”

If the projector model you have is BenQ E600/E800 series, please follow the steps to fix the issue.

Connect the projector to the internet and follow the user manual to update the projector firmware to the latest firmware version

STEP 2

Go to “All Apps” on the home screen, and select “BenQ Suggest”

STEP 3

Go to “Education” and select and install “Google Cast Patch”

Please check the following settings to correct this issue. 

1. If the source gives the correct 3D information to the projector, the projector will switch to 3D automatically.
   If your source is from PC or steaming content, please select the correct 3D format via OSD Display > 3D > 3D mode.
2. Check the user manual and make sure that the resolution of your content supports 3D.
3. Press the DLP Link button on your 3D glasses to resync the projector and 3D glasses.
4. Please try to change the HDMI EDID setting to Standard.
5. Make sure that no other Projectors are sending DLP Link signals in the same room.
6. Watching in a relatively dark environment to avoid being influenced by other light sources.
7. Check the battery level on your DLP 3D Glasses
8. Adjust the watching distance and screen size within a normal range(Specs)
9. Stay in a fixed position, and try not to move too far/quickly on your head/3D glasses.
10. Try to adjust a colorful setting on the projector and avoid external light direct to your 3D glasses/screen.
11. If it's still not working, the issue might be caused by Hardware margin. You can switch to another projector or 3D glasses for a try.

Please try the below two ways to improve the situation:

1. Go to "Clear memory" to clear up the memory of unnecessary files and boost available RAM.
2. Go to "Recent App" to close unused apps.
