This chapter provides basic information about the BenQ Board Essential RE05 interactive display.

About the RE05

The BenQ Board Essential RE05 is a Google ELDA-certified interactive display by BenQ. It combines the computing power of an 8-core Arm Cortex chipset, High Precision IR touch, top-of-the line hardware and software, a full set of ClassroomCare® technologies, and Google Mobile Services. Users of the BenQ Board can utilize the interactive display for effective and engaging learning experiences and workplace collaboration.

Note

1 The 3.5 mm microphone jack supports only TRS-type and active microphones. Passive microphones are not supported.

2 The USB 3.0 Type-A ports function as USB passthrough ports. When a laptop is connected to the display as an input source, users can use these as extra data ports for their laptop.

3 The multi-purpose USB-C port can be used for data, video, and audio transmission, touchback, and 65-watt/15-watt charging.

  • Regularly clean the input/output ports to prevent dust accumulation.

Note

1 Unscrew the USB cover to access the USB slot for the wireless USB adapter.

2 The USB 2.0 Type-C port serves as a USB passthrough. When a laptop is connected to the display as an input source, this port can be used as an additional data port for the laptop.

3 The USB 2.0 Type-A port serves as a USB passthrough. When a laptop is connected to the display as an input source, this port can be used as an additional data port for the laptop.
