The new headquarters of the Sparkasse Bremen is located in the middle of the technology park of the University of Bremen. With this modern new building, the company is becoming more agile thanks to the BenQ InstaShow® which enables flexible collaboration in the modern workplace.

A Move Toward a Modern Workplace

The new headquarters of the Sparkasse Bremen is built on a 7,200 square metre site in the middle of the technology park of the University of Bremen. With this modern new building, the company is pursuing a consistent technical, spatial, and cultural orientation towards the modern digital working world. BenQ InstaShow® has enabled flexible collaborations and played an important role in turning Sparkasse Bremen into a modern workplace.

About Sparkasse Bremen

With total assets of more than 13 billion euros and around 1,100 employees, Sparkasse Bremen is one of the largest savings banks in Germany. The new five-storey corporate headquarters building, which was realised according to plans by the renowned Viennese firm Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, houses 600 employees who work in a completely new office concept: networked, interdisciplinary, and interactive. To achieve this, the Munich-based company Congena, worked together with Sparkasse Bremen to develop a concept that allows employees an agile corporate and working culture and offers staff and visitors a high-quality stay.

BenQ InstaShow®: Passage to Agile Culture

When considering which wireless presentation solution would be most suitable for Sparkasse Bremen, BenQ InstaShow® was chosen for the entire site. This solution is particularly suitable for use in environments with the highest IT security requirements, as wireless image transmission takes place via the HDMI connection and no additional application needs to be installed.

The WDC10/WDC10C/WDC20/WDC20C InstaShow® is supplied with one receiving device (host) and two transmitting devices (buttons). Users only need to connect the InstaShow® to a device and then press the button. The device connected to InstaShow® will then immediately cast the device screen to a BenQ Board.

InstaShow® Encourages Agility

Clients from different areas such as corporate, private banking, and the real estate centre are served in 18 individually designed consulting rooms. Within a project realisation period of only four months, Mediasystem implemented the BenQ InstaShow® installation in close cooperation with BenQ.

Regarding teamwork, the employees of Sparkasse Bremen have numerous rooms at their disposal for a wide variety of work scenarios. The rooms allow for both concentration and communication - depending on requirements and the task at hand. 35 ThinkTanks, 11 meeting rooms, and 12 project rooms are now equipped with BenQ InstaShow®. With the InstaShow® integrated S-Lounge, teams have a stylish location for meetings, exchange of ideas, and communication.

Outcome

The spatial, organisational, and technical design of the new corporate headquarters of the Sparkasse Bremen takes into account the realisation that complex service packages for customers require new concepts for cooperation. A fiercely competitive market for skilled workers and a changed mentality strongly oriented towards mobility require new working environments between on-site desks and the home office. Rapid technical development makes flexibility and expandability of the technical infrastructure indispensable. The installed solution meets these future working mode requirements and leaves room for change.
