Why is the microphone option grayed out in the OSD on my monitor?

Please make sure a USB upstream cable is connected. If a USB cable (USB Type-B to USB Type-A) is connected to the USB upstream port on your monitor, the built-in microphone can be turned on from Audio > Microphone > Turn ON. If multiple microphones are detected by your computer and you are prompted to select one, select the monitor’s model name (i.e., the monitor’s built-in microphone).
