TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 1, 2010 – BenQ proudly announced the expansion of its digital camera lineup today with the E1460 & T1460 High Dynamic Range II cameras. The 14 Megapixels high resolution cameras with 4XW optical zoom lens; 720p HD movie recording capabilities; E1460 with 2.7” and T1460 with 3.0” 230k-pixels LCD screen and BenQ’s own upgraded HDR II image enhancement technology, Both E1460 and T1460 target consumers who crave for something user friendly, stylish, economical and smart, all in one.

E1460 suits perfectly in a hand of one who is a first time owner, student, or even a child thanks to the ease of use. For those who want a unique, elegant, smart and stylish camera, T1460 springs immediately to mind. It is equipped with a few more functions like Quick Delete function; Easy-Search function and Thumbnail Touch Bar incorporated in its “Touch, Circle, Swipe” touch screen LCD screen for users’ convenience.

BenQ’s HDR II image enhancement technology is an upgraded version of the HDR technology, designed to be more than just a backlight solution – It is designed to allow a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of the image and is the perfect tool to overcome high contrast lighting condition challenges. Photos with faithful colors can be generated stunningly even the highest contrast lighting conditions. Furthermore, HDR II lets the consumers select HDR scene mode to preview what a photo will look like with HDR optimization applied, without having to take the photograph – more convenience and more control over picture quality.

E1460 and T1460 equipped itself with arrays of fun features like the LOMO effect, Fisheye lens and Color Accent. The LOMO effect, allowing users to quickly add LOMO style effects to their photographs – darkened-corners, off-kilter exposure and over-saturated colors to turn the images into gallery-worthy works of art. The Fisheye lens provides a wide-angle hemispherical view of the photographic subjects, adding a more source of fun and intriguing creative possibilities. The Color Accent effect enables the users to choose a specific color to highlight in the image turning the rest into black-and-white, heightening part of the photographs’ atmosphere, drawing attention whilst imbuing them with the photographers’ personality.


 

 

 

 

 

Both E1460 and T1460’s Advanced Smart Scene Mode comes with a range of preconfigured settings for particular types of scenes users need, automatically detecting up to 12 different scenes: Landscape; Portrait; Backlight; Backlight Portrait; Night Scene; Night Portrait; Macro; Sunset; Text; Foliage and Snow and Still mode. Other features and effects which are included are: Perspective Control (T1460); Beauty Enhancer; Radio Blur; 720p HD movie recording; Blink detection mode and many more.
