TCO Product Policy

For all BenQ products certified with TCO Certified generation 10:

We offer at least 2 years of warranty included free of charge, plus additional years of extended warranty, so the total warranty is up to 5 years. An extended warranty is possible to purchase together with the product, for the maximum cost of 15% of MSRP per year. Once activated, the extended warranty period begins immediately following the end date of the product's standard warranty, under the same terms and conditions as BenQ's standard warranty unless otherwise stated. Extended warranty purchase options will become available on the BenQ product page at the time of the product's official launch, allowing you to purchase the product together with the extended warranty.

We offer the availability of free-of-charge, security and corrective software updates necessary to retain the initial functionality of the product for at least 5 years from the later date of when the product was sold by BenQ or when it was last manufactured. For software updates of generic operating systems developed by third-party vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Google, etc.), we instead ensure that, at the time of certification, the operating system vendor is committed to providing updates free of charge and that any announced minimum hardware requirements needed to continue receiving these updates are met.

Here is information on how to receive these updates.

A third-party certification according to ISO 14024

IT products are associated with a wide range of sustainability risks throughout their life cycle. Human rights violations are common in the factories. Harmful substances are used both in products and their manufacture. Products can often have a short lifespan because of poor ergonomics, low quality and when they are not able to be repaired or upgraded.

This product is a better choice. It meets all the criteria in TCO Certified, the world’s most comprehensive sustainability certification for IT products. Thank you for making a responsible product choice, that help drive progress towards a more sustainable future!

Criteria in TCO Certified have a life-cycle perspective and balance environmental and social responsibility. Conformity is verified by independent and approved verifiers that specialize in IT products, social responsibility or other sustainability issues. Verification is done both before and after the certificate is issued, covering the entire validity period. The process also includes ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in all cases of factory non-conformities. And last but not least, to make sure that the certification and independent verification is accurate, both TCO Certified and the verifiers are reviewed regularly.
