LONDON, United Kingdom – March 27, 2023 – BenQ, a global leader in display solutions, will debut their latest generation of interactive displays for education—the BenQ Board Pro RP04 and the BenQ Board Master RM04—at Bett UK 2023, the world’s largest education technology exhibition.

Attendees of the three-day event, running from March 29 to 31 at ExCel London, will have the opportunity to visit the BenQ Education booth (NG31), test the new models, and talk directly to our BenQ representatives.

The first of their kind, the new generation BenQ Boards are fully integrated with Google Mobile Services (GMS). This gives schools the advantage of easier access to official Google services such as Google Play and Google Classroom, as well as a more native experience when using Google Search and other Android applications directly from their BenQ Board.

The new BenQ Boards grant schools the flexibility they need when it comes to teaching and IT management. The board offers teachers the ability to customise the learning experience by allowing them to use a variety of apps that are either relevant to their curriculum or tools that they are already familiar with. IT managers also have the freedom to set up their BenQ Boards according to their schools requirements.

Intuitive learning experiences with Google

With the integration comes a fully redesigned user interface that is optimised for classroom use. On the new home screen, users can either type or speak to start browsing lesson content from the Google Search bar. Educators are also able to utilise all the classic BenQ widgets, set app shortcuts, and customise their digital teaching space based on their preferences.

All RP04 and RM04 interactive displays come with Google’s core applications such as Google Drive, Maps, Meet, and YouTube. Schools looking to use Google Workspace apps such as Classroom, Docs, Sheets, and Slides can conveniently download and install them directly from Google Play. This allows students and teachers to open their lesson files and work together on the BenQ Board’s large touchscreen interface, which can support up to 40 simultaneous touch points. The BenQ Board is available in 65”, 75” and 86” screen sizes.

Advanced whiteboarding and screen sharing

As with the previous generations of the BenQ Board, the RP04 and RM04 have the latest versions of EZWrite and InstaShare.

● EZWrite is BenQ’s feature-rich whiteboarding software that allows teachers to annotate during class, import or display a variety of lesson materials, and utilise a wide collection of specialised classroom tools designed for different subjects.

● InstaShare is BenQ’s wireless screen sharing solution that gives teachers and students a convenient way to simultaneously cast and control up to 9 laptop, tablet, and smartphone screens on their shared BenQ Board.

Better tools for accessibility and inclusivity

The new generation of BenQ Boards also boast of new features that make learning more accessible to a wider scope of students.

● Text-to-Speech allows visually impaired students to hear text as it is displayed or written on screen.

● Multilingual translation allows teachers and students to use and understand educational resources that have been written in different languages.

Another helpful new feature, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), allows students and teachers to convert images and documents with blocks of characters to an editable text format. This gives them a convenient way to draft projects or build lesson materials from available print resources.

Centralised user and device management

Schools with existing Google accounts can easily transition to using BenQ Boards without performing any unnecessary additional configurations. Through the BenQ Account Management System (AMS), administrators have the option to synchronise their Google Workspace Directory and immediately carry over all user accounts into the BenQ ecosystem. Directory syncing is also available for schools using LDAP, Azure AD, and other SAML-based identity providers.

Once accounts are synchronised, teachers will be able to log in and open their Google-hosted files directly from their BenQ Boards with their existing school accounts. For easier login, teachers can either scan a QR code or use their school-issued NFC cards for one-tap login.

Administrators looking to remotely manage the settings of their BenQ Boards can take advantage of the BenQ Device Management Solution (DMS). Through this platform, they can push device updates, monitor device analytics, manage apps, and configure power settings of individual or groups of BenQ Boards.

Enhanced security with GMS

Since the BenQ Board runs a proprietary version of the Android 13 system that is officially integrated with GMS, schools can rely on Google’s built-in security features to protect against rogue and malicious apps, phishing attacks, possible data leaks, and data loss.

BenQ also ensures our users’ security by offering encrypted network communications as well as other proxy-level security options. We also host our cloud services on secure AWS cloud infrastructure.

Comprehensive ClassroomCare® features

Our BenQ Boards are still the only interactive displays for education with the most comprehensive set of health-focused ClassroomCare features designed to maintain healthy learning spaces. Both the Pro and Master Series have certified antimicrobial screens and peripherals that reduce the risk of germ transmission.

Both BenQ Boards are also fitted with Eyesafe® screens that are designed to protect the eyesight of students and teachers from harmful high-energy blue light, which is known to cause eye strain and long-term eye-related issues.

The BenQ Board Pro also has a full set of air quality sensors that allow schools to monitor and regulate the levels of CO₂, PM₂.₅, and other toxic pollutants in their classrooms. The RP04 also has a built-in air ioniser that helps reduce particulate matter.

"BenQ are changing the way teachers can teach, without changing how they want to teach." - Royce Lye, Managing Director of BenQ UK & Ireland commented.

Attendees of Bett UK 2023 can talk to our BenQ Education representatives at booth NG31 to learn more about the latest generation of BenQ Boards.
