Why DP1310 could not output 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz signal from its HDMI 2.1 IN port?

09-14-2023

When DP1310 cannot output 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz signal from the HDMI 2.1 IN port, please check the following:

1. The connection signal and monitor display specification:
Please ensure the display device can output a 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz signal; the same applies to the monitor.

2. The connection setup:
The typical setup should be the signal output device(i.e., PS5, XBOX) should connect to DP1310's HDMI 2.1 IN port. Then connect one end of the HDMI cable at HDMI 2.1 OUT 1 port and the other end to the display device(i.e. monitor).

Note: Maximum resolution and refresh rate from the signal of USB-C IN (usually connected to a laptop) limits at 4K 60Hz. You can connect your devices to the HDMI 2.1 IN port to display higher resolution and refresh rate to achieve higher picture quality.

3. Cables:
Please make sure all cable connections themselves support the HDMI 2.1 display standard. The HDMI cable that came along with DP1310, which you find in the box, has been certified with HDMI 2.1 Specification, with a maximum data transfer rate of 48 Gbps, and supports full 4k 120Hz or 8K 60Hz resolution. We highly recommend using this certified cable to ensure maximum display performance.

If you have checked all the points mentioned and still could not display 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz resolution, don't hesitate to contact BenQ Customer Support for further assistance.
