How can the audio output device be switched once my laptop connects to the DP1310?

If you wish to switch audio output devices when your laptop is connected to the docking station, there are different ways of doing it depending on what kind of operating system you use:

For Windows:
Hit the speaker icon on the taskbar, then select the preferred audio output
device. 

For macOS:
On the MacBook desktop, select "Apple Menu" and then Audio. Select the
preferred audio output device.
