How can I set up two or more monitors if my monitor does not support Daisy Chain?

06-01-2026

If your monitor (such as RD270Q) does not support Daisy Chain (MST), multiple monitors can still be connected using the methods below, depending on your device and setup configuration.

Option 1: Connect each monitor directly to the computer

Connect each monitor directly to your PC, Mac, or docking station using available video output ports (such as HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C).

Option 2: Use a Docking Station or USB-C Hub

If your device has limited ports, you may use a compatible docking station or USB-C hub that supports multiple display outputs.

*Please make sure both the docking station and your device/GPU support multiple external monitors.

Option 3: Use multiple video output ports from your graphics card

Desktop users can connect multiple monitors directly through the graphics card’s HDMI or DisplayPort outputs.

Notes:

*RD270Q supports standard single-display connections via HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C.

*Multi-monitor support and the maximum number of external displays may vary depending on the connected device, operating system, graphics card, or docking station capabilities.

*macOS devices may have different external display limitations depending on the Mac model and chipset.
